The Irish harp/flute duo of Chaski Shana Norton and Adrienne Inglis of Austin, Texas, will return to Hot Springs for the first time in two years for the Muses' "Celtic Spring" concert this month.

The telling of old tales, fairies and magic, sacred mysteries, friendship love, and singing songs of the sea and sky, are the themes intertwined in the Muses "Celtic Spring" concerts, a news release said.

The concerts are Saturday, March 12, 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 13, 3 p.m., at the Muses Cultural Arts Center, 428 Orange St. All artists, students and teachers may attend a free concert at 6 p.m. Wednesday, but must call 501-609-9811 to register.

"This Celtic Women-style concert celebrates Gaelic tradition and joy with lively folk tunes, moving ballads, and sacred blessings, through a unique blend of various traditional and contemporary Irish, Scottish and English selections. These tunes are performed by the Muses Troupe lead professional female vocalists and instrumentalists, young artists, lovely dancers, and student vocal apprentices, in solos, duets, and various ensembles," the release said.

Inglis plays principal flute with the Round Rock Symphony Orchestra and a truckload of different woodwind instruments from around the world, including flutes from the tiny penny whistle to the large bass flute."

Norton plays principal harp with the Mid-Texas Symphony. "Her love for Celtic music was sparked when she took a trip to Scotland, where she learned from Scottish women how to play the harp entirely by ear," the release said.

"Elegant, charming, and spirited professional performances will make the Muses "Celtic Spring" concert a springtime highlight, just in time for St. Patrick's Day," it said.

Tickets are $35. Visit http://www.themusesproject.org or call 501-609-9811 for more information.
