Celtic Breeze set for Library on Tuesday

The next America's Art Form Concert, co-sponsored by the Garland County Library and the Hot Springs Jazz Society, will feature "Celtic Breeze in the Library" from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

No registration is required to attend the free event.

According to the library's website, based in Mountain View, the group Celtic Breeze plays traditional Irish, Scottish, and Welsh tunes that "form the roots of much of our modern folk, country, western, bluegrass, and gospel music. Included in their repertoire are also some of the better-known American folk tunes. They have performed regularly at the Ozark Folk Center as well as at other venues throughout the area."

The group includes founder Charlie Mink, mountain dulcimer and harmonica, David Childs, harp, Alice Canham, vocal and bodhran, Debbie Reed, flute and whistle, and Hugh Dunnahoe, fiddle.

"This group is dedicated to bringing you the best experience in Celtic ... music in the five-state area. You will be fascinated by the history and development of each instrument used to play this amazing music," the Jazz Society said in a news release.

Covered non-alcoholic beverages may be brought to the auditorium at the library.
