The Elks Lodge 380 Veterans Committee hosted veterans from the Atrium, the VFW and the American Legion for a hamburger lunch and entertainment at the Lodge on July 27.
"Due to the extreme heat, the planned boat ride on Lake Hamilton was postponed until September," a news release said. "The Elks invite veterans from all rehab centers and nursing centers to attend, as part of their emphasis on supporting veterans."
The release said that, in addition to the monthly lunch and entertainment, the Lodge will invite all veterans in the Hot Springs area to a dinner on Veterans Day.
"The Elks' motto is: 'So long as there are veterans, the Elks will never forget them,'" the release said.
