Martha Margret' McWaters McFall passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on March 19, 2024, at West Shores in Hot Springs, Ark.

Martha was predeceased by her husband of 66 (and a half) years, Chief Master Sgt. Chuck McFall, USAF (retired), three brothers, one sister and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe McWaters.

Early in her business career, Martha was assistant manager of Western Union Telegraph Offices in Kentucky and Tennessee. Having been married to an Air Force serviceman, she lived in many states and countries.

Martha entered civil service at Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., in the early '50s. The family was later transferred to Panama Canal Zone, where she was promoted to the Federal Aviation Agency, where she relayed various flight plans and weather data to different airlines and countries throughout South America.

Martha retired at Eaker (Blytheville) Air Force Base as a construction contracting officer completing 30 years and four months of civil service. Martha was the second-highest civil service female at Eaker's Base; and upon retirement, had a street name after her.

Martha was born and raised in Paducah, Ky.; and her husband, Chuck, was born and raised in Greenview, Calif. They were married in California upon Chuck's return from combat in Europe.

The couple traveled extensively to exciting places like Alaska, Hawaii, three trips to Israel and other Middle Eastern locations. In addition, Martha and Chuck enjoyed visiting their daughter, Sandi, in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

While living in Blytheville, Martha attended First Baptist Church, serving in numerous capacities for 35 years until they relocated to Hot Springs. In Hot Springs, Martha and Chuck were active members of Hot Springs Baptist Church. Martha greeted at the front entrance of the church for 17 years and was fondly known as "The Door Angel."

Survivors include her son, Chuck McFall (Debbie), of Spring, Texas; daughters, Sandi Martin (John), of Hot Springs, Ark., Sheri Hardman (Billy Bob), also of Hot Springs, Ark.; granddaughters, Jennifer Goodnight, Jillan Thompson, Shelli Hardman, Shana Barrett and Shea Ricks; and grandson, Ryan Harmening. Martha is survived as well by seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous church family and friends.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, with service to follow with Brother Mike Smith and Brother Dick Finley officiating.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the great care she received from the staff of West Shores Assisted Living; Dr. William Cole, MD; CHI Wound Clinic, and Gentiva Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Hot Springs Baptist Church.
